Hmm. Yes, I think you ought to post the proposition to news...
I loved John Brunner's *Stand on Zanzibar*, which I've read several times;
I got distracted in the middle of *The Sheep Look Up* a long time ago, and I
mean to finish it sometime. He's pretty amazing.
Interesting, your idea of what is going on... I wonder what you mean by
"protect ourselves"? Who's the "us" in there, and what from, and how? I think
defining what we see as "the problems" is a viable starting point. If we set
forth any rules for the mailing list, could one of them be something like
"brevity is the soul of wit"? I have a pitiful 500k of disk space to my name.
Any other reasonable guidelines you can think of? --maybe we could limit the
mailings to once a week. Hmm. How's that sound? Would it work?
Many things to think about... take it easy...
