I've been disabled by a dead hard drive, and am operating from fgloppies as I type this-- an experience I'd hoped I'd left behind with the eighties. ;-) I read Lappe so long ago I can barely remember his work. As I'vce said before, I'm not an organics purist, but I do like to eat wholesome foods, and I'm tieing food into the basic foundations of my community ideas. One of my favorite things is working in my garden, and eating fresh vegetables right off of the plants. I'm now the owner (or does it own me?) of a bulletin board with email and usenet news-- the Heart of Gold, the @hogbbs. from which I enter the net. I"m planning to set up an email served archive here with community-oriented files. Someone from another list has suggested to me that a usenet newsgroup on communities should be started, presumably an alt. group or a talk. group. So, if you come across files of community interest, or get inspired to type or scan in community-related materials, I definitely have a place to store them and manage them, which will presumably exist for a number of years, assuming no disasters like fire or civil war.
