Announcing Monad’s OCSF Templates!

Blog

Introduction

Anyone who’s worked with security logs and different data sources has felt the pain of fragmented, inconsistent data formats that make analysis, detection engineering, investigations, threat hunts, and nearly everything in security operations unnecessarily complex (aka a PITA). Each tool seems to speak its own language, creating headaches and inefficiencies that are only compounded as data grows.

That’s why the Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework (OCSF) has rapidly gained support. By standardizing security data into clear event and object classes, OCSF simplifies working across multiple data sources for security teams and vendors alike.

This is why we’re excited to announce Monad’s beta launch of 10+ out-of-the-box OCSF transform templates for some of the most commonly used sources like Wiz, Okta, CrowdStrike, and Semgrep. Each template is rigorously tested and officially pinned to OCSF schema v1.1.0, ensuring consistency, compatibility, and precision. This is just the start, and we will continuously add more templates to simplify your security operations.

We didn’t stop at official templates. Recognizing the expansive security landscape and the strength of community collaboration, we’ve launched a community-driven GitHub repository where security teams and developers can share, discover, and collectively build new OCSF templates.

Why Monad’s OCSF Transforms?

Without Monad, security teams typically rely on complex, error-prone scripts to manually map source fields to their OCSF equivalents, a tedious, time-consuming process. With Monad, you can effortlessly convert to OCSF in minutes using our expanding library of out-of-the-box templates.

  • Boost Your SecOps Efficiency: Easily standardize and correlate your security data, making complex joins, advanced queries, and threat detection simpler and more precise.
  • Eliminate Manual Frustration: Deploy pre-built transforms in seconds—no more tedious manual mappings or painful configurations.
  • Collaborate Seamlessly: Share, discover, and refine transforms within our community of security practitioners.

Get Started Today

Try Monad today on our free Basic Tier, offering up to 1TB/month of ingested data completely free of charge. Plus, our built-in synthetic data generator makes testing effortless, without needing to integrate with your production security tools.
