Monad Community Bytes - February 2025

Monad Community Bytes - February 2025
February is the shortest month of the year, and this month’s update is just as short and sweet! Our team has been hard at work as we continue refining our platform to bring you the best security data ETL solution on the market. Highlights this month include 2 new major features and 8 new integrations. We also contributed to the SANS x Anvilogic 2025 State of Detection Engineering report which we cover in depth in this blog post.
Without further ado, let's dive in!
Product Updates ✨

Our engineering and product teams continue rolling out updates at lightning speed 🔥. Here’s what’s new:
Secrets Management
Managing credentials across tools has been tedious and risky—until now. Our new Secrets Management feature centralizes secret handling, letting you update credentials once and apply them everywhere. Key benefits:
- Centralized management to reduce misconfigurations and drift
- Lower credential exposure risks by securely referencing secrets
- Faster, safer testing and deployment by cloning pipelines and components without re-entering secrets.
OCSF Transformation Support [Beta]
Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework (OCSF) has quickly become a leading security data standardization framework which is why we're happy to announce we now support OCSF conversion for our CrowdStrike, Tenable, Okta, and Wiz connectors.
New Connectors
- Box Users – Access user profiles and permissions to analyze roles, track access changes, and improve identity management.
- Jira Roles – Pull role-based data from Jira to automate security workflows and align DevSecOps teams.
- Jira Users – Ingest user activity logs to track ticket handling and security incident workflows.
- Slack Users – Monitor Slack user activity for behavior tracking, anomaly detection, and identity security.
- Slack Groups – Integrate group membership data to detect risks in collaboration platforms and strengthen security monitoring.
- Box Events – Ingest real-time activity logs to monitor file access, detect unauthorized sharing, and ensure compliance.
- Google Cloud Asset Inventory – Ingest asset metadata (VMs, databases, configurations etc)
- Wiz Issues – Pull security findings (vulnerabilities, misconfigurations) for prioritizing remediation and enhancing cloud threat detection.
2025 State of Detection Engineering Report

Our friends over at Anvilogic and SANS recently published a report with insights from over 250 detection engineers (DE) and the findings are pretty compelling. Below are some of my thoughts from my time as a DE and how valuable data transformation is:

They mention "Data Engineering" 29x in the report which highlights how critical the work we're doing here @ Monad is!
You can (and should!) read our roundup of key takeaways from the report here.
